● Trip Billing — vehicle rental
Every fleet we've talked to runs on the same paper diary: odometer start and end, fare, expenses jotted in the margin, profit worked out by hand at the end of the day. Trip Billing replaces that page with a real GST invoice, built on configurable tariffs and a true per-vehicle, per-driver profit & loss — through the same invoicing engine as GST Billing, not a separate, weaker trip sheet.

Why we're building this
Minimum charge plus included kilometres, a per-km rate beyond that, and separate AC / non-AC rates — set once per vehicle class, not hardcoded thresholds guessed from someone else's fleet.
Start and end readings, fuel, tolls, driver batta — the same fields a driver already writes on paper, just captured once instead of copied twice.
A completed trip becomes an actual GST invoice against the customer, through the same invoicing engine as GST Billing — not a PDF trip sheet you still have to bill from separately.
Fare minus expenses, rolled up by vehicle and by driver, so you can see which vehicles and which drivers are actually making money — without a spreadsheet at the end of the month.
The direction we're building toward: the office and a driver's phone sharing the same live trip data, the way POS Live already keeps a counter and a back office in sync. Not shipped yet — this is the plan, stated honestly.
Grounded in how fleets already track trips on paper today — we're not guessing at the workflow, we're replacing a page that already exists in the glovebox.
